Internal Medicine Residents

 
Meet our Chief Medical Residents for 2009/2010:
 

    Brian Johnson was born and raised in Knoxville, TN.  He graduated from Rhodes College and the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN.  He chose residency at the University of Utah for the academic strength of the program and the proximity to many beautiful locations.  His interests include landscape photography, fly-fishing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and attending/watching sporting events. He plans a teaching career in hospital medicine.      
John Nord, MD   John Nord was born in Miami, FL and earned a BS from the University of Miami prior to serving in the United States Air Force for ten years.  He met his wife while at Hill AFB in Utah and, thus, stayed here for medical school and residency training.  He enjoys hiking with his two beautiful daughters, mountain biking, football, and rock & roll.  Next year he will be a teaching attending at the SLC VAMC outpatient clinic.  
Cheryl Pirozzi, MD   Cheryl Pirozzi was born in Torrance, CA.  She received her BA from Dartmouth College prior to attending Dartmouth Medical School and Brown Medical School.  Her interests include rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding, and international health.  She plans a career in Pulmonary/Critical Care and will begin fellowship at the University of Utah in July 2010.  
Melissa Reily, MD   Melissa Reily was born in Montana and is a graduate from Texas A and M University College of Medicine.  She enjoys international travel, running, camping, hiking, mountain biking, snow shoeing and skiing.  She plans a career in Rheumatology and will begin a fellowship at the University of Utah in July 2010
